Candelaria and Herman Zapp are the kind of people with whom one can identify. My husband & I had the unexpected pleasure of meeting Herman & Candelaria (& their beautiful family )while traveling in South Africa, in Krugar National Park. We actually ran into them again , later in our travels! After hearing their story, I said that they should write a book.Herman said that they had, so I bought my first copy. Loved it! Such adventure, including challenges & words of wisdom. Makes you believe in the goodness of people all over the world. It contains great inspiration for one to achieve their dream, whatever it is. I enjoyed " Spark Your Dream" so much that I purchased 5 more books( online) to give to my family as gifts!

An Extraordinary Story By Extraordinary People

Hermann and Cande Zapp have a story to tell you that will have you turning pages far past your bedtime. I met them once, years ago, in Washington DC, when they had but one small child and were on their way to Alaska from Argentina. It seemed at the time like an interesting adventure and they were an engaging pair. That was my first impression . . . until I read their book. I think you will be astonished at the tale they have to tell - a tale that is by no means ended. Write them and they will answer, from somewhere in Canada (or maybe Asia by now). Buy the book and sit down to share their amazing fulfillment of a truly "impossible dream." It is a book you will buy for friends and family, and say "you have GOT to read this!"

Got as a gift. While I truly appreciated the gift I have to say that this calendar is complete crap. The facts aren't very interesting and certainly won't scare the S#*t Out of ANYONE. The authors comments are a waste of time.

With this installment, my favorite not-right-in-the-head, wise-ass zombie killin', stumpageddon wearin' character reaches the apex of his adventures with family in tow. Extended family, including war woman El, Critter and his crew, Lourdes, and the rest that have made this epic journey.

I won't spoil the story, as it is a continuation of the Stanford's journey to reach safe haven. I have come to enjoy the shenanigans and soliloquies, and this light-hearted take on life in the ZA. If you're looking for an escape from the usual fare, start at the beginning, and join Long Pork, Stella and the kids in their far-out escapades. Chuckles will follow.

I want to thank Mr. Bible for this series...I've read each one with a great deal of enjoyment. If I could give more stars I would....the world of Jace (long pork), Stella, Greta & Charlie is done...oh, and Elsbeth! Who could forget her? Lol...anyone looking for a wonderful read please try these books...you won't regret it...

I love this series

I love this series, tore through it in one night the minute I got it. And then I started the entire series over again. It's really well done and I like how real things are. The main character curses, is an idiot, lovable, a hero. His family is exactly as a family would be and somehow in the world of zombies they're all still awesome. Well done Jake, please keep them coming! I can't wait to read more

El t�tulo del libro resume perfectamente y con total fidelidad el contenido del mismo: es la descripci�n de la historia de la econom�a desde sus or�genes en el neol�tico hasta nuestros d�as, incluyendo un ep�logo en el que el autor da alguna pincelada personal sobre el futuro de la econom�a. �se es de hecho el �nico fragmento del libro donde hay una aportaci�n personal y una opini�n. En el resto del libro se explica la historia de la econom�a. No se narra, no se relata, no se cuenta. No es una historia novelada ni escrita en primera o tercera persona. Es simplemente la descripci�n de los hechos desde un punto de vista econ�mico y c�mo ha evolucionado. Hay numerosas referencias a eruditos e historiadores, citando fuentes y estudios para apoyar lo descrito.
El libro en mi opini�n est� m�s orientado al entorno acad�mico (como libro de consulta, referencia o material de estudio) que al p�blico en general. Aquellos que busquen una historia de la econom�a contada de manera amena o en forma de novela no llegar�n a acabar el libro. Aqu�llos que busquen sin embargo un libro detallado, completo y con informaci�n contrastada, ver�n cumplidas sus expectativas.
A mi personalmente me ha ense�ado mucho, porque me tom� su lectura como un curso de historia econ�mica a distancia.

Excellent book by the leader in the field.

Bocci cuts through ozones hype and gives clear and accurate scientifically proven information on what ozone can and can't do for somebody and how it should be administered(direct IV not being one of them). The price tag I think is a bit high for an amateur researcher such as myself but worth every penny. For any medical persons reading this review who is considering buying this book please note contary to FDA statements there are hundreds of studies proving efficacy of ozone therapy for all types of ailments. They are all public domain.

Ozone therapy corrects the redox system(that's the antioxidant system for layfolks)so for anybody with a chronic viral infection who has a failing redox system that is one major reason alone(there are many others) to use ozone therapy. I will repeat that - for that single fact it is reason enough to use it.

Ozone being a good negatively charged free radical will actually nutralise harmful reactive oxygen species(ROS). This is one of the biggest misunderstandings by untrained medical personnel who beleive ozone is a harmful free radical and one of the messages Bocci gets across so strongly.

Autohemotherapy vs, Direct IV

Kudo's to Dr Bocci for his publication promoting IV ozone therapy. We have seen the results of over 45,000 Autohemotherapies and since 1994 over 95,000 Direct Iv ozone applications. There is no doubt that Dr. Bocci is completely wrong in his evaluation of Direct Iv. when done correctly it is easily safer, faster, less costly, and far more effective. In fact, Dr bocci is correct when he says that Autohemo will not cure most problems, while Direct IV absolutely will. Anyone with our experience in both types will agree.

Reading this volume required a lot of dedication a) the lettering was very small b) one gets lost in too many details, which in turn hinder understanding of the fundamental concept of providing intra-cell communication. c) Also, I have not found evidence to the metabolic effect of breathing in Ozone at very low concentrations.

This version of the Divine Comedy contains all three sections, Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso. This poem is a masterpiece to be savored and surprisingly it's not as difficult to read as one might think.
Ample notes and diagrams are provided throughout all three sections, and before each Canto (Chapter) a synopsis is provided detailing what just happened and what is going to happen next. A very nice addition that will help in comprehension of the poem.
The descriptions of Dante's Hell, Purgatory and later Heaven are breathtaking. Each section can be read seperately and enjoyed as is but combined they provide a brilliantly realized journey.

One of the main sources of Western culture

The all-encompassing mind of Dante has produced indeed one of the main sources of Western culture. It is a rich poem, full of interesting stories and commentary and which, like all true classics, can be read from different standpoints and has different dimensions. It tells Dante's travel to Hell, Purgatory and Heaven. Daniel Boorstin has called it "Adventures in Death". It is also one of the main bridges between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Like other works from this period, it mixes classical mythology and tradition with Christian history. The first evidence of this is the fact that although Dante travels to the Christian underworld, his guide is the Roman poet Virgil, no less.
Dante's work is thus multi-layered: it is an exploration of virtue and sin and their consequences; a profound criticism of the state of the Catholic Church at the time, attacking fiercely the institution of the Papacy and Boniface VIII in particular, for their corruption; a reelaboration of old Medieval themes; a bitter analysis of Italian and especially Florentine politics of his day, whose effects he so cruelly suffered.
During his trip, Dante meets and speaks with Biblical characters, Greco-Roman ones, and contemporaries of him. These people tell their stories and explain why they are where they are. Dante touches practically on all relevant and controversial subjects of his time, as well as many of our own. Although in any translation we miss the lyricism of his verse, we can still appreciate the quality and dignity of his writing.
It is not, of course, an easy reading. It is not "light" literature and it demands intelligent, cultivated and also demanding readers. But the reward is infinite. Dante's work has had any number of repercussions in subsequent culture. I think, for example, of Tchaikovsky's "Francesca di Rimini", based on one of the fascinating stories told to Dante in Hell, Purgatory and Heaven. Dante's images are powerful, terrorific in Hell and purely Divine in Heaven. His imagination is truly remarkable, in the way he describes the punsihments and rewards, as well as the characters and their situations.
Lose the fear and plunge into this greatest tour de force. It is really Dantesque.

A True Classic

Dante, with the Divine Comedy, has produced a work that has endured for centuries and influenced many of the greatest Renaissance thinkers. This is quite a testament to his abilities. The Divine Comedy is divided into three basic sections: Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise. Dante begins his travels in hell. Guided by the Latin poet Virgil, he sees kings, monks, popes, and an assortment of other people, all of whom are tormented in ways fitting the level and type of their sins. After leaving hell, he continues to the mountain of Purgatory. Here he encounters those souls who must be purged of their sinfulness in order to reach heaven. Finally, he enters into Paradise, where the lovely Beatrice now guides him. He travels through the seven planetary heavens (an interesting note on the science of Dante's time) where he dialogues with the Saints, beholds the radiance and glory of the Triune God and is told the mysteries of Heaven. Dante presents his poem with vividness and great detail allowing the reader to comprehend the horrors of Hell and the otherworldly beauty of Paradise.
I particularly enjoyed reading about the many colorful people he encounters on his journey. It is interesting to see the people he puts in hell, purgatory, and paradise and to hear their stories. Many are famous historical figures. His comedy has many examples of allegory, prophecy and even theology. He tackles issues such as the Atonement, divine justice, and free will. The story includes many references to both classical pagan stories (e.g. Greek mythology) and Christian writings (e.g. Thomas Aquinas). The only downside (in my opinion anyway) is that Dante devotes too much time to philosophical discussions relating to Aristotle, who was popular with nearly every prominent medieval thinker. These discussions slow the pace of the poem at times.
This particular edition contains all three parts of the comedy and is unabridged. The low price is a plus too. It is in prose, although the language is pretty stilted. It uses "thees" an "thous," for example. This is not necessarily bad because it makes the story quite dignified, but some of the sentences can be very difficult to understand. Here is an example: "Thy kindliness not only succoreth whoso requesteth, but doth oftentimes freely forerun request." Fortunately, there are long introductions that summarize each chapter (canto) and numerous endnotes, which explain in detail the people, places, things, and ideas of Dante's work. Overall, I highly recommend the Divine Comedy to every reader, especially for those interested in medieval literature. Still, you may want to find another edition.
